Relaxation is a more accurate term for meditation and it’s a crucial concept in bodybuilding. The goal is to attain a state of serenity within your body and mind. By striking a balance between the two, you can achieve inner peace and self-actualization. Who wouldn’t want that?

Meditation is actually easier than you might think. Some of us have probably dabbled in meditation by participating in conscious relaxation – perhaps during an exercise class or to soothe pain at the dentist or anxiety before a test. We begin by paying attention to our breathing. Meditating involves focusing completely on our breathing, eliminating the “mind clutter” that constantly invades our minds, and allowing ourselves to experience a moment of calm.

As a result of repeated practice, you will achieve the goal of clearing your mind and thinking about nothing. Peace, serenity, and calmness follow, eventually leading you to new insights. There is a lot of fun, excitement, and speed in our world. However, it is also challenging, trying, demanding, and frightening.

Stress, emotional reactions, anxiety, worry, and anticipation result from these two aspects of our lives. Our bodies and minds can only handle so much of any of these things. Each of us reaches a saturation point eventually, and the results become uncomfortable at best; for some, it may be unbearable.

There is no magic pill to eliminate these feelings. As the wise old man said, the answer is inside each and every one of us. We must look within to deal with these universal concerns. One step we can take is to learn and practice meditation.

During your meditation, there is no right or wrong way to behave. It is your time. It is your right to enjoy the experience. This is a self-care activity. Rather than a time-out in their room, show your children this method. Explain it to your friends, family, and anyone who will listen. The more we give, the more we receive. The more people meditate, the better we will all be. Peace and joy experienced by those who meditate enter the world as positive energy. As a result, the world is a better place.

What exactly is meditation? There are several types of meditation. It can be described as “Consciously directing your attention to alter your state of consciousness.”

Your attention can be directed toward a variety of things: images, sounds, colors, breath, uplifting thoughts, spiritual realms, etc. Meditation involves simply paying attention to how you direct your attention and how it alters your consciousness.

Meditation has traditionally been used for spiritual growth or becoming more conscious, for unfolding our inner Light, Love, and Wisdom; becoming more aware of the guiding Presence in our lives; and for speeding up the journey home to our True Self, our Soul.

Meditation has recently gained popularity as a way to relax and relieve stress in a fast-paced, demanding world. Healing, emotional cleansing, balancing, deepening concentration, unlocking creativity, and finding inner guidance can all be accomplished with crystal healing. As your body reaches a state of relaxation, so should your mind during meditation.

Put your expectations aside when you begin your meditation, and don’t worry about doing it right. There is no fixed standard for determining what is the right meditation since there are infinite possibilities. Nevertheless, there are a few things to avoid. Don’t force something to happen. Do not over-analyze the meditation and don’t try to make your mind blank or chase away thoughts. There isn’t one “right” way to meditate, so just focus on the process and find what works best for YOU!

To meditate, find a quiet place that’s comfortable and quiet. You can sit in a comfortable chair, on the floor, on the bed, or anywhere you feel comfortable. Sitting cross-legged is not required. Legs can be in any position that is comfortable for you. Try to reduce distractions by minimizing noise. Don’t worry about things you can’t control.

Sit comfortably with your spine reasonably straight when you meditate. Meditation relies on the free flow of spiritual energy up the spine. Leaning against a chair back, a wall, a headboard, etc. is perfectly acceptable. It’s okay to lie flat on your back if you can’t sit up for physical reasons. Place your hands wherever is most comfortable for you.
